WITHDRAWAL OF THE INCLUSION OF AMERICAN EEL (ANGUILLA ROSTRATA) INTO CITES

APPENDIX III

We refer to our circular dated 26 December 2025 regarding the inclusion of American eel

(Anguilla rostrata) into CITES Appendix III with effect from 07 January 2026.

2 The Dominican Republic (“listing country”) had withdrawn its request of the inclusion of Anguilla

rostrata into CITES Appendix III from 7 January 2026. Hence, Anguilla rostrata will not be included in

CITES Appendix III from 07 January 2026, and do not require CITES permits/CITES Certificates of Origin

for its import, export and re-export, including its parts and products.
